Reverse Engineering

Our core business are custom engineered gaskets.
In case you have a sample available, thanks to the experience in reverse engineering, we can go back to the drawing, as well as the hardness and the material family using the FTIR spectroscope.

What is the reverse engineering?

Reverse Engineering enables us to offer a complete service from the design phase and to work applying a co-design approach. An ad-hoc software get the CAD maths of an item from a physical object.
Through our Reverse Engineering service we can also satisfy duplication needs when there is no tecnica drawing.

How Does Reverse Engineering Work?

  1. Three-dimensional scanning of the object using a projector. Lighting patterns hit the sample while cameras take pictures of it. At a later time the point cloud is converted into a triangular model using a specific software.
  2. We convert the triangular mesh into a quadrangualr one using a CAD software.
  3. Extrapolation of the maths that will be used to design the tool.
  4. Our FT.IR spectrometer can be used to get details about the material of the sample.
